Area Attractions

Notch View is nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire close to several major attractions. Known for its beautiful mountain vistas just about anytime of the year, the Lincoln-Woodstock area also has several dining establishments. Get a glimpse of what is offered by viewing the menus of some local restaurants.

Fall

The New Hampshire Highland Games take place in mid-September, featuring the gathering of the Scottish Clans and exhibiting several Scottish cultural events including music, dancing and games.

Witness the radiance of the White Mountains in the season of color. An online foliage report will assist you to schedule perfect peak foliage viewing throughout the region.

Winter

The White Mountain region is well known for skiing and winter sports. Notch View is minutes from Cannon and Loon Mountains. Miles of snowmobile and cross-country ski trails can be found just outside your door at Notch View. Ice skating is available at Loon Mountain, and several local outfitters rent snowshoes and all sorts of winter recreation gear.

Spring

When the snow is just about melted (mud season), the White Mountains region offers an array of spring activities. Kayak and ATV rentals are available in addition to guided hikes. Explore the Franconia Notch State Park Bike Path either with your own bike or with a rental from one of many local bicycle shops.

Summer

Summer activities in the White Mountains include swimming, bicycling, fishing, and so much more. Lincoln-Woodstock Chamber of Commerce has the lowdown on a variety of summertime fun. Of course, Clark's Trained Bear Show is a must see for kids of all ages, and nearby Whale's Tale provides a splash of refreshment on a hot summer day. While Broadway musicals entertain throughout the summer at Jean's Playhouse, White Mountain Boogie N' Blues is a rockin' weekend in August.
